Yesterday we held our Lottery/Drawing party to choose artists for the festival in January. We used our complicated scientific process of drawing names from a hat, as we have done every year. This year was slightly different from previous years. We have over 60 applicants; a new record for Tucson Fringe. Last year we had 42 applicants, so this is a huge leap for us. The 2019 Festival Will Be the Best
Our performance applications have closed, and the numbers look amazing. We had over 60 applicants with almost a third being from Tucson, AZ. Both these numbers are the highest they have ever been in the history of the Tucson Fringe Festival. We are still finalizing venue details, but we may have the most venues in the festival’s history. Performance applications for the 8thAnnual Tucson Fringe Festival are open for only one more day. Applications close on September 1 (Tomorrow) at 11:59pm EST. Our lottery party and drawing of performers will be Sunday, September 9 at 5pm EST. Look for live streams on all the social media platforms. Anyone is welcome to attend the event in person.
