Performance Applications Open July 1

James Pack/ June 24, 2022

That time of year has come around again as we begin planning for the next Tucson Fringe Festival. We were all so excited for last year and then Covid caused several shows to cancel. Everyone at Tucson Fringe is optimistic about the next festival in January 2023.

One thing that will change about this year’s application process has to do with last year’s festival. A few folks opted to cancel their show and roll over their registration fees for the next festival. These performers will not be included in the lottery and will have their shows in the festival in 2023 if they wish to perform this year. If we did not discuss this with you in January 2022, you still must apply and wait for the drawing to learn if you’re in the festival.

Other than that, nothing has changed about the application process. We are looking into having as many venues as we can comfortably manage but our group of volunteers has gotten smaller the last couple years. We will have some information soon about volunteering and how people can sign up to help with festival planning and working the festival in January.

You may have noticed we have a new logo on our social media pages. Tell us what you think! We’re trying some new things as we move forward in this post-Covid world. And we’ll try to be more active with posts here and on social media. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by us these last couple years. Bigger and better things are on the horizon. Now go tell your friends that applications are opening soon.
