Hyde at The Screening Room Canceled

The artists for Hyde were unfortunately in a car accident and their performances are canceled for the rest of the festival. If you purchased tickets online in advance, they will be refunded. The artists are home and resting but unable to perform. Thank you to everyone who supported the show and we wish for a speedy recovery for the artists. The canceled showtimes are 1:30pm and 4:30pm Saturday, January 12, 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Tickets Still Available At All Venues

Online sales for individual shows ended on Thursday at midnight. Tickets are still available at every venue. Passes and buttons are still available online and at each venue. Please arrive 30 minutes early before your show to get tickets or to checkin if you purchased online in advance.

Venue Spotlight: BYOV Passé/Cirque Roots

  Our final venues for the 8th Tucson Fringe Theatre Festival are BYOV. BYOV is a fringe term meaning “Bring Your Own Venue.” One of many things the Fringe provides for artists are venues and liability insurance, but sometimes artists find their own venues to use or their act requires more stringent (and more expensive) insurance. They pay the costs for their venue instead of the festival. In most cases, this allows them more freedom with scheduling and use of space, but with greater financial risk. The risk mostly depends on what the venue asks for in return for using the space. This is the second year the Tucson Fringe Festival has hosted a BYOV performance and we are excited to continue bringing Tucson the finest in Fringe performance.  Our first BYOV is Passé. Where to Pick Up Pre-Ordered Tickets

We’ve received a lot of questions about where tickets can be picked up during the festival. Online ticket purchases will end on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:59pm. Tickets are available at the door of all our venues. Passes and buttons will remain available to purchase online throughout the festival. Passes must be picked up at the Fringe Lounge, 197 E Toole Ave, the loading dock next to Studio ONE. Passes can be picked up Thursday, January 10 3pm-6pm as well as during the entire weekend of the festival. All single show pre-orders can be picked up at the show venue 30 minutes before the show. Everyone will need to bring their order confirmation. Anyone who has questions, comments, or concerns can contact us through our Contact Page. As the 8thTucson Fringe Festival approaches, there are a few things you should keep in mind if you plan to attend. After seven years, we’ve picked up of few ideas to help make your experience better and to help eliminate at least some confusion during the festival. Buying tickets to shows in advance is helpful, but sometimes it’s difficult to decide which shows to watch based on only a photo and a short description. Day Passes and All Access Passes are available to help. Buy these in advance then choose what shows to see during the festival and you won’t have to worry about paying.
