The 2019 Festival Will Be the Best

James Pack/ September 5, 2018

Our performance applications have closed, and the numbers look amazing. We had over 60 applicants with almost a third being from Tucson, AZ. Both these numbers are the highest they have ever been in the history of the Tucson Fringe Festival. We are still finalizing venue details, but we may have the most venues in the festival’s history. The 2019 festival will be the biggest to date and we cannot wait to see what our tenth year will look like. So, what comes next? What are the next steps in preparing for the festival?

We are holding our lottery drawing to choose performers for the upcoming festival on Sunday, September 9, 2018. We use a complicated, scientific process to choose our list of performers. We draw names from a hat! We will have live videos on all the social medias and you can view the drawing event from anywhere in the world. Local performers, and anyone else who wants to, is welcome to attend the event in person. We will be at Tap & Bottle, 403 N. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705 at 7pm for the fun drawing and awesome party. You can learn more at the Facebook Event Page.

After our artists are chosen for the festival, we will begin collecting the press materials for their shows and adding that information to our website for your reading and viewing pleasure. As we finalize details with our venues and the festival schedule, we will provide that information as it comes available on our Events Page. The 8thTucson Fringe Festival is January 10-13, 2019 at various downtown venues multiple artists from different parts of the country and the world. Be sure to like and follow us on the many social medias. We can be found by searching for @tucsonfringe.
