Entering its fourth year in production, the Tucson Fringe Festival announces Fringe Benefits, a meet and greet reception with a panel of Tucson Fringe participants who will discuss the benefits of getting involved in this exciting theater festival.
From 12:00pm – 1:30pm on Saturday, September 13th, the general community and area theater-makers are invited to sip wine and enjoy light snacks at Fluxx, all to the benefit of igniting the excitement that comes with Fringe theater festivals.
The “Fringe Benefits” panel, created and moderated by Peppur Chambers of Los Angeles, who has performed and produced shows for the Hollywood Fringe and Prague Fringe, will include performers Maryann Green (For All The Good It Does), Michael Fenlason (Time, Gentlemen, Please; Hers and His) and Catfish Baruni (Slideshow Fairytales: The Facts in the Case of the Great Beef Contract). Between them, they’ve participated in the San Diego Fringe Festival; are repeat performers and supporters of the Tucson Fringe, and are heavily involved in the Tucson theater community.
From 12:30pm-1:00pm, the panel will share their personal experience, explore the benefits of participating in Fringe, both from a performer perspective and audience perspective, and introduce their own shows, some of which will be performed that same day.
